Woodex’2006. Final press release
Woodex / Lestechprodukzia-2006, the 8th annual International specialized exhibition for timber products, machinery, equipment and materials for the timber, pulp and paper and woodworking industries organized by MVK International Holding Company was closed on December 8. It was the first time that the exhibition was held in Crocus Expo instead of Sokolniki.
This year's statistics is impressive:

23 participating countries
21 000 square meters of exhibit space
12 000 attendees
Four days the first, second and fourth halls of pavilion 1 were filled with the noise of operating machinery. Manufacturers of equipment, machinery and tools for timber, woodworking and furniture industries displayed their latest achievements enabling development and progress in all branches of the lumber industry. Unusual bright design created a holiday atmosphere of the woodworking forum which became an annual event. Well-planned navigation helped visitors choose the right hall according to interests.
Attendees willing to see Italian equipment went to the first hall exhibiting companies-members of ACIMALL Italian Association of Equipment and Woodworking Tools Manufacturers.
SCM Group, BIESSE, ORMAMACCINE, CEFLA FINISHING GROUP - are some of the most famous Italian companies at Woodex / Lestechprodukzia-2006. Stands of large companies were like mini plants with offices and sections.
The second hall represented German technologies. Such key players of the world machinery engineering like HOMAG, Weinig Group, Altendorf, IMA KLESSMANN and others participated in the collective exposition of VDMA German Machinery and Plant Manufacturers Association.
The fourth hall displayed machinery and equipment of Russian companies, as well as products of members of AFEMMA Spanish Association of Woodworking Machinery, Tools, Equipment and Products Manufacturers. This was the first experience of collective participation of companies from the Iberian Peninsula in Russian exhibitions. Barberan SA, Fresma, ROSALESMHL and others came to exhibit their developments.
National expositions at Woodex / Lestechprodukzia-2006 resulted from close cooperation of MVK International Exhibition Company with EUMABOIS European Woodworking Machinery and Tool Manufacturers Association providing patronat for the second time. Companies from 20 regions represented Russia - Global AgeMDM-Techno, KAMI-Stankoagregat (Moscow), Baltmashprocess (St.Petersburg), Bakaut (Novgorod), NPO Bars (Chelyabinsk), Belgorod Abrasive Plant, Borovichi Woodworking Machinery Plant (Novgorod Region), PG Grizli (Volgograd Region), Zhukovsk Plant of Technological Equipment (Bryansk Region), and many others. A large scale of woodworking equipment was demonstrated by companies from Austria, Switzerland, China, USA, Great Britain, Lithuania, Belgium and other countries. Number of foreign exhibitors was a little less than 1/2 of all participants. For the first time in the national exhibition experience Woodex / Lestechprodukzia-2006 opened the International Centre where all international exhibitors and guests could use Internet, have a coffee break or hold negotiations with help of interpreters.
Wooden House Building / Holzhaus held on December 7-10 in the third hall of Crocus Expo was a good complement to Woodex/Lestechprodukzia-2006. Participants and visitors gave high estimations to this novelty of MVK International Holding Company.
