Vicenzaoro spring: “D Communities”, Diamonds, Delegations and Retailers

From Saturday, 12 May, to Wednesday, 16 May at the Vicenza Fair: Vicenzaoro Spring 2007, the mid-year “must” with international jewellery Vicenzaoro Spring, scheduled in May, is as full of new ideas and inspiration as Vioro Winter was this past January.

Major innovations can be seen in the restyling of the exhibition layout, as well as the contents of Pavilion D, which has been renamed “D Communities” to indicate a subdivision by merchandise categories: gold, silver, jewellery and stones. Each area will be indicated by a different colour so that operators can quickly pinpoint their area of interest and optimise their visiting schedule. The “D Communities” project represents the continuation of an important project to redefine the exhibition areas of Vicenzaoro based on a concept of merchandise groups and similar corporate profiles. This work began in January 2006 with the restyling of Pavilion E, continued in September with the inauguration of Pavilion B_One and proceeded this past January with the redevelopment of Pavilion C. The initiative undertaken in January about the world of diamonds – Diamond Avenue, along the riverfront of Pavilion G – continues with Gemmology Day, organised by Cisgem and the Italian Gemmology Institute, and dedicated to certifying treated diamonds. The event will feature notable speakers such as Antonello Donini, Head of Cisgem’s Diamond Sector; Alessandra Marzoli, Head of Bulgari’s Gemmological Center; Ernesto Colombi, President of the Italian Diamond Exchange; and Roland Smit, President of Federpietre.
There will be more than 500 commercial operators from 23 countries, who will arrive at the exhibition centre in delegations organized by Fiera di Vicenza in collaboration with the Italian Trade Commission, the World Gold Council and the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad.
There will also be three meetings for retailers – organised by Fiera di Vicenza in collaboration with Federazione Nazionale Dettaglianti Orafi (the Italian Gold Jewellery Retailers Federation) – in order to analyse topics such as planning margins at the point of sale, innovation through details and the creation of value by streamlining shops.
