Tem Tecma confirms its dates in June 2008

TEM TECMA 08, the International Town-Planning and Environment Exhibition will stage its 14th edition between 10th and 13th June 2008. Having studied the possibility of bringing the fair's dates forward, the organisers at IFEMA finally decided to maintain the event's usual dates.

Given its biennial character, the fair will take place in even-numbered years, bringing together the entire town-planning and environment industry at Feria de Madrid, structured around the sectors related to Urban Equipment; Urban Road; Parks and Gardens; Sports and Leisure Facilities; Urban Services; Equipment and Applications for the Removal of Architectural Barriers; Refurbishment, Maintenance and Ornamentation; Water Treatment; Solid Waste; Other Forms of Pollution; Environmental Recovery and Protection, and Institutions, Associations and Services.

This exhibition, which is presented by manufacturers and retailers of products, equipment and technology for municipal areas and the environment, will offer a new and wide-ranging overview of this segment. The exhibition is especially aimed at all members of the industry, including representatives of various administrative departments, engineering companies and consulting companies, not to mention laboratories, research centres, building companies and developers, among others.

This innovative show, which is complemented by a packed programme of activities designed to coincide with the trade exhibition, has become fully established, making TEM TECMA 08 the largest Spanish trade event linked to the field of town-planning and the environment, two areas that are becoming increasingly interconnected.

The best proof of this fact is provided by the results achieved at the last edition of the fair, which took place in the June 2006. In effect, the fair achieved a record participation figure, based on the presence of some 330 direct exhibitors and 640 participating companies. These exhibitors presented their products and services within a net exhibition area measuring 20,458 square metres and welcomed a total of 9,987 professionals. The level of foreign participation was also especially high, based on the attendance of 28 exhibitors from abroad, who travelled to the fair from 17 different countries. Some 685 foreign visitors from 34 countries also travelled to see the exhibition. In short, these figures simply confirm the growing international dimension at TEM TECMA.
