Sicur 2008: International Security, Safety and Fire Exhibition.

SICUR'08 will take place between 26th and 29th February at Feria de Madrid. The Sicur 08 New Products Gallery is an excellent example of innovation and development.

Aimed at promoting research, development and innovation within the frame of Security and defining the practical application of the new products and services in this field, the next edition of SICUR, to be staged at FERIA DE MADRID between 26th and 29th February, will present a selection of the latest proposals from amongst all those presented for this purpose by the exhibiting companies, at its Gallery of New Products.
  
After analysing the various products, a Jury of Experts linked to various sectors has selected a total of 33 products, of which 7 correspond to the fire protection sector, 17 to the field of safety at work and 9 to the security sector. 

With regard to  fire protection, the products selected at this  year 2008 edition are characterised by the benefits offered by their performance features. For example, we will witness  an efficient use of water in the latest high-pressure fire extinguishing equipment mounted on trailers, as well as  technological  advances  regarding evacuation systems that operate by means of voice with directional sound, not to mention the latest in fire protection for machinery. To these products we might add a greater degree of efficiency in new portable battery-operated lighting equipment  and a new development aimed at  enhancing the safety of firemen by means of innovative  autonomous equipment.

With regard to the new features regarding safety at work, manufacturers have set themselves a two-fold objective: on the one hand, to offer clothing that is light and comfortable and, on the other, to minimise the possibility of accidents occurring.
