Record visitors for the 20th Xylexpo/Sasmil
93,266 visitors, 51.5% of whom international (i.e. 48,008 from 113 countries). This is the short story of the great success of the twentieth edition of Xylexpo/Sasmil, the biennial international exhibition of woodworking technology and supplies for the wood and furniture industry, that took place in Milan in May 16-20, 2006.
A predictable success, to tell it all, as over one thousand exhibitors had the opportunity to display their products in an exclusive showcase in the new fieramilano-Rho, during the five days of the exhibition.
This positive feeling was then supported by figures, too. First of all an absolute record in terms of visitors, with Italian visitors (45,258) growing by 4.6% as compared to 2004 and operators from the rest of the world reaching a 51.5% share (against the 50.3% share of 2004).
Once again, Xylexpo/Sasmil has stressed its leading role among the international industry events and succeeded in further increasing its international vocation - even after the 2004 performance - thanks to the new expo center.
