Prèmiere Classe Report on the Show

The International Trade Show for Fashion Accessories, between February 2-5, 2006, Porte de Versailles, has attracted 13.100 visitors. After a few seasons as an independent trade show at the Porte de Versailles, Première Classe is confirming the trend with fashion accessories being mainly purchased at the beginning of the year, a period when professionals of the sector usually replace their stocks.

The synergy between Première Classe and Who´s Next, the more feminine-oriented fashion trade show, creates a balance between clothes and accessories, which attracts the most important international buyers (49%). With 13.100 visitors, Première Classe seems to be up and running, with 8652 visitors in January 04 and 16.156 visitord in January 05. Fluctuations in figures may be due to the proximity of the two show´s entrances since some visitors register at Who´s Next for Première Classe and vice versa. And therefore in September 06, both trade shows will take place in the same hall (hall n 1) with a single main entrance.
Foreign participation is divided in the same proportions: wit Italy at the top of the list, 17,2% and then steadily increasing participation of Japan 14, 7 % (12, 4% in January 04), Spain 9,5%, Great Britain 8,5% and Belgium 6,3%. The US is stabilizing with 5,5 %.
French attendance (51%) is made of 42% Parisian people and 58% people from other regions (they were 55% in September 05). And the fact that the date has been brought forward (from Thursday to Sunday) with no show on Monday, did not seem to affect the attendance.
