Trends and developments: Dynamism of the major sectors

These flagship sectors are showing particularly strongly this year.

In water, the presence of the leading equipment suppliers and service companies has now been secured in all fields from distribution to treatment. Well received in 2004, the division into sub sectors is being extended this year: Water has been divided into 4: Piping/Tubes - Pumps/Taps – Treatment/Independent Drainage - Treatment/Operations.
On the waste front, a sector that has grown continuously for the last 20 years, there has been a particularly high level of interest amongst foreign companies and manufacturers of equipment for handling, sorting and exploitation, reflecting the size of and interest in the market for waste exploitation in France, as can be seen from the growth of new waste and sorting centres in mainland France. Waste too has been divided into 4 zones: Collection/Treatment - Recycling/Exploitation - Cleaning/Cleansing/Disposal – Waterproofing.
Another trend that deserves to be highlighted is the growth in the air sector, which is being driven forward by the treatment of sludges from sewage plants, as well as additional products and services in the field of interior air and the treatment of unpleasant odours.
