Multi-Product Selection prepares for its sixth edition

The fair will move to Halls 1 and 3, presenting an exhibition area measuring some 21,000 m2 90% of the companies that took part last year will participate again this year

The first meeting of the Organising Committee for MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION 2007 took place last 16th October. This fair is one of the main points of reference for the bulk sale trade. Between 24th and 26th May next, the fair will bring together the leading manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and distributors of mass consumer products at FERIA DE MADRID.
The Organising Committee at MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION, chaired by Angel Tomás, from the company Angel Tomas, S.A., enjoys the collaboration of a wide-ranging group representing the interests of the sector. The purpose of the Committee is to ensure the event's favourable running and results.  Regal Arts, S.A.,  Rep. Jerónimo, Great Plastic, S.L; Globolandia; Darlos, S.L.;  Innovación y Decoración, S.L., Tcos. Especialistas Plástico, and Juguetes Industriales, S.A.  .
This first meeting  basically defined the measures that would be taken in order to    optimise the value of the event, in its capacity as a tool for promoting the sector and boosting business activity. In this respect, the organisers will carry out a series of promotional campaigns, both within Spain and abroad, in order to increase the attendance of professionals at the next edition. A new International Guest Programme will also be set up in order to take advantage of the marvellous export potential of the exhibiting companies. This Programme will ensure the attendance of a group of top buyers, who will help to develop new areas of business in the markets of greatest interest to the sector.
The growing international scope  of MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION is precisely one of the aspects that is most highly rated by exhibitors. It is not surprising to learn, therefore, that nearly 10% of the visiting professionals recorded at the last edition were from abroad. The countries that featured the strongest representation in terms of buyers included Portugal, which witnessed a 46% increase in attendance, in addition to Greece, Serbia and Montenegro, Germany, France, Italy, Malta and Turkey, among others.
Another of the agreements reached by the Organising Committee was to change the location of the fair to Halls 1 and 3. The total exhibition area, which will measure 21,000 square metres and be distributed throughout two adjacent areas, will permit a better fair presentation and facilitate the circulation of professionals throughout the event.
Furthermore, with still six months to go before the event itself takes place, MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION 2007 presents some excellent participation prospects.  90% of the companies that took part in the fair last year have confirmed their attendance at this new edition, which will also incorporate a number of new companies from both Spain and abroad.
The success of MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION 2007 will depend, once again, on the highly dynamic nature of the sector and the constant rotation of its products. The exhibition is always innovative, providing professionals with the widest possible range of   mass consumer products. Among these bathroom items, fashion jewellery, carnival, Christmas hampers, accessories, decorative items, electronics, stationary articles, hardware items, flowers, gadgets, hygiene products, toys, cleaning articles, electrical appliances, household equipment, miniatures, linen, auxiliary furniture, Christmas items, leisure, perfumes, leather articles, plastic items, beach articles, promotions, gift items, souvenirs, textile and  travel items, among others.
In this respect, MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION 2007 has become one of the most outstanding international events for the sector and a key trade forum where retailers, wholesalers and superstores have the opportunity to place their orders in preparation for the spring-summer campaign, one of the liveliest periods of the year due to renewed tourist activity. MULTI-PRODUCT SELECTION will also enable traders to plan for the next Christmas and New Year campaigns at the same fair, anticipating the massive consumer spending spree that takes place at the end of the year.
