ISH spotlights 'renewable energies' in the field of building-service and energy technology for the first time
Market leaders present state of the art technology
Forums and special shows offer detailed insights
The ISH – The World’s Leading Trade Fair for the Bathroom, Building Services, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energies (in Frankfurt am Main from 6 to 10 March 2007), is being held in a time of rapidly changing circumstances. Public interest and politics on both the German and European planes is concentrating increasingly on the subjects of energy efficiency and renewable energies. With a variety of important measures, such as the building-energy certificate, the European Union has taken the initiative for saving primary energy, for promoting the use of renewable energy and for publicising the idea of energy efficiency in the building sector. "The ISH is in line with this development and, for the fist time, is also spotlighting the subject of renewable energy in the building-services and energy segment. Around 300 European exhibitors will be showing systems for using renewable energies and thus offer the most comprehensive and up-to-date range of products anywhere in the world market", says Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt. While the focus in Hall 8.0 is on efficient energy systems, exhibitors from the fields of solar thermal energy conversion and photovoltaic systems are located in Halls 9.0 and 9.1. Suppliers of pellet and biomass technology are located in Hall 9.2.
Hall 8: efficient energy systems German manufacturers hold the biggest share of the world market for using renewable energies and developing efficient energy systems. At the fair, modern heating technology will be shown, for example, by Max Weishaupt GmbH, Stiebel Eltron GmbH & Co.KG, Vaillant Deutschland GmbH & Co.KG, Viessmann Werke GmbH & Co KG and BBT Thermotechnik Buderus Deutschland in Hall 8.0. The range of products includes burners and boilers, as well as technology for using renewable energies, such as heat pumps and pellet furnaces.
Hall 9: solar technology, pellets and biomass Due primarily to the sharp rise in the price of traditional energies, more and more consumers are choosing solar thermal energy conversion and photovoltaic systems. Accordingly, the sector is expanding rapidly. The ISH brings together these innovative technologies in Hall 9. Thus, on two 'sun streets' in Hall 9.0, BBT Thermotechnik GmbH Junkers Deutschland, Solar World AG, Gergeni Solar Energietechnik, Sharp Electronics (Europe) GmbH, Conergy AG, Inventum B.V. and AMK-Collectra AG will be showing everything relating to thermal solar equipment and photovoltaic systems. More top German and international names from the solar scene are represented in Hall 9.1. The companies exhibiting their innovations include German manufacturers Wagner & Co. Solartechnik GmbH, Westfa GmbH, Pro Solar Energietechnik GmbH, KBB Kollektorbau GmbH, Alanod-Sunselect GmbH & Co., Sunset Energietechnik GmbH, Resol GmbH and Ikarus Solarsysteme GmbH. Among the non-German companies presenting their latest products will be General Solar Systems GmbH, Teufel & Schwarz GmbH, WATT Sp and Cicero Hellas S.A. Suppliers of heating boilers, fireplaces and stoves using pellets and biomass can be found in Hall 9.2.
These new technologies are more complex than their predecessors. Thus, in addition to the comprehensive range of products to be seen, the ISH also gives visitors the opportunity to learn in detail about specialist features and trends. The ISH Technology and Energy Forum on 'Efficient systems and renewable energies' (Galleria 1 Nord), organised by the Association of the German House, Energy and Environmental Technology Industry (Bundesindustrieverband Deutschland Haus-, Energie- und Umwelttechnik e.V. – BDH) and Messe Frankfurt, represents an excellent source of information and a good chance to hold discussions with experts. The 'Outlook – Integrating Energy' special show in Hall 4 ('Saal Europa') takes a close look at the relationship between energy and architecture and, inter alia, introduces innovative architectural concepts that meet special demands on energy efficiency.
The ISH is the world’s leading trade fair for bathroom, energy and building-services technology, as well as air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation technology. Covering around 250,000 square metres of exhibition space, it occupies the whole of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre and brings together more than 2,300 exhibitors from all over the world with around 200,000 international visitors.
