At the same time, the EXPO COMM MÉXICO educational program was the best in its history and served as a point of reference for comparison to other technological events.
The level of its participants and panelists offered a broader view of the industry as well as of the Mexican and global challenges and trends. Select’s Tendencias 2006 was part of EXPO COMM and inaugurated the event for the second time, making for interaction between companies’ CIO’s and industry leaders. This program united expert voices in a discussion of issues related to government, finance and services, industry and commerce, telecom and Internet sectors.
Its five-master conference program featured Héctor Ruíz, AMD’s CEO, as well as Mariano O’Kon, Cisco Systems’ Latin America’s Technical Consulting VP; Mun Yuen Leong, AVAYA’s VP,, chief technology officer and chief architect; Ron Partridge, PANDUIT’s global business development VP and Microsoft’s, Aisha Umar, director of Unified Communications Real-Time Collaboration and Business Group VP.
“We consider this to be a good event for leaders to attend. I am impressed with the technologies that are being exhibited, and I know this is a forum where visitors can learn a lot. EXPO COMM is very important for the industry, because through it, we can meet new business partners and arrange one-on-one sessions with customers. EXPO COMM also allows us to demonstrate what we have to offer to a market that is developing very fast, as is the case of México, where fiber optic, wireless and Internet-related technologies have advanced a great deal,” commented Ron Partridge.
Aisha Umar declared that “EXPO COMM MÉXICO is a very important event for solutions providers because we can show users integrated solutions that will benefit their businesses. As for Microsoft, this event allows us to meet more partners and work as one. This event represents a relevant opportunity in which people can get to know what we are doing to benefit business communications.
The mere fact that EXPO COMM MÉXICO is celebrating its XV anniversary shows that it is a successful event which has allowed end user companies to get to know sellers’ offers. The forum has been very relevant for customers who want to learn about the new communications trends and about the sector’s direction in terms of corporate productivity improvements”.
The Top Technology program took place at the exhibit area presenting a new “live” concept based on every day life technology by means of an Intelligent Home, designed with the latest technology and wireless applications: Creston’s, Liksys’, Avantel’s, and Netvoice’s products and devices.
The Korean, French, Spanish, Canadian and American pavilions stood out, as did the Security, Consultants and Integrators halls, all visited by decision makers.
The EXPO COMM MÉXICO forum is, without a doubt, the place where professionals can find the solutions that address their corporate technology strategies. E.J.
