Domotex Hannover 2008: A tradeshow to the world - Outstanding visitor quality

DOMOTEX 2008 was even more successful than last year's event in terms of the total number of visitors from Germany and abroad. From its home base in Germany, DOMOTEX has also taken firm root in overseas market,

As in previous years, over half of all visitors at Domotex 2008 were from abroad. Around 56 percent of them said they used the fair to maintain and further develop their international business relationships. The organizers were particularly pleased to see a further increase in the number of American trade visitors, reaching a total this time of around 2,500 - approximately 20 percent more than at previous events. There were also higher attendance figures from Eastern Europe and Africa. Among domestic visitors, there was a noticeable increase in the number of visitors from the southwestern part of Germany.

Domotex is the standout tradeshow for professional buyers from around the world. Around 89 percent of all visitors described their input into their company's decisions as 'advisory' to 'decisive.' And almost 70 percent of visitors described themselves as being part of senior management (self-employed, general managers, division managers). Viewed in terms of demand, Domotex offers more concentrated buying potential than any other comparable event.

An idea travels the world
From its home base in Germany, DOMOTEX has also taken firm root in overseas market, given exhibitors the chance to leverage Deutsche Messe's extensive expertise and expand their international business at shows known for the same high standards of quality as the parent event in Hannover. Now some of the world's fastest-growing economic regions have a DOMOTEX of their own, thus opening doors to new and attractive markets for global players in the carpet and floor covering business.

The tenth Domotex Asia/Chinafloor - Asia's largest international tradeshow for floor coverings - will be held from 11-13 March 2008 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The 2008 lineup will feature some 980 exhibitors displaying their wares on a gross exhibition area of 88,000 square meters.

The third Domotex Middle East will be staged from 25-27 May 2008 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Golf region's international trade fair for carpets and floor coverings is expected to attract 275 exhibitors in 2008, who will be presenting their products and innovations on a gross display area of 13,000 square meters.

The next Domotex Hannover will take place from Saturday, 17 January, through Tuesday, 20 January 2009.
