Contractworld: Networking hub for the international architecture community

Architects, interior designers, planners and designers from around the globe converged on the contractworld special presentation in Hall 4 to share their ideas and information.

The event culminated in the official contractworld.awards presentation ceremony. contractworld.awards is a European architecture prize for innovative interior design concepts. This year it generated more interest than ever, drawing a total of 481 entries - more than twice as many as last year. "This pleasing result is testimony to the contractworld.awards' preeminent status in the industry," said board member Kühne. Top prizes went to entrants from Austria, Spain, Poland and Portugal.

This lively exchange of creativity among architects, interior designers, planners and designers had its perfect complement in the contractworld.congress, which, with around 2,500 delegates, is the largest annual architecture congress of its type. Visitors to DOMOTEX were treated to fascinating insights into the work of big-name designers like Kengo Kuma of Tokyo, Prof. Hermann Hertzberger of Amsterdam, and Antonio Ortiz of Seville.
