Patent, both as a trim and as a full shoe material, and snakeskin add to the fresh-look. Jewels and gems are being used throughout the range from occasion wear, through fashionable gladiator sandals to ballet pumps such as Tiffany, which is already creating interest with its styling in silver and bow and jewelled trim on the front.
Along with jewelled and metal trims, design details include ruching on daywear shoes, cut outs and contrast piping, all adding to the range’s contemporary summer feel.
Wedges also play a key role in Emotion’s new range. There are low wedges on sandals, mid height wedges and high wedges on court shoes.
As a general trend, almond peep and closed toes predominate, with square toes emerging.
Commenting on the company’s new range, Emotion’s national sales manager Neil Bennett says:
“A recent survey revealed that nearly one-third of women find that standard size shoes are too narrow for them. This means that there is a huge consumer demand for wider fitting, fashionable footwear. We believe that the design of our latest collection, and the choice it provides, will help even more retailers take advantage of that market.”
