Bodegas de Familia Burgo Viejo S.L. is located at Alfaro; it specializes in the wine production of wines exclusively produced with native grape varieties from the Rioja region such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Viura.

The production includes young wines, for example:

 
Burgo Viejo Rose Wine—varietal composition: Garnacha 100%
Burgo Viejo White Wine— varietal composition: Viura 100%
Burgo Viejo Red Wine—varietal composition: Tempranillo 80%, Garnacha 15% and Mazuelo 5%.

All of them gave been fermented in stainless steel warehouses at controlled temperature, adapted to each type of wine produced.

The crianza wines are:

• Tinto Crianza -Composición Varietal: Tempranillo 90%, Graciano 10%. Fermented in stainless steel warehouses at controlled temperature, after skin maceration followed by a 12 months stand in a new American oak barrel and subsequent stand once bottled.
Excellent evolution at short and long term. Limited production to 120.000 bottles.

• Tinto Reserva.- Composición Varietal: Tempranillo 80%, Graciano 10%, Mazuelo 10%. Fermented in stainless steel warehouses at controlled temperature, after skin maceration followed by a 12 months stand in a new American (50%) and French (50%) oak barrel and subsequent stand once bottled.
Excellent evolution at short and long term. Limited production to 20,000 bottles.

- Tinto Gran Reserva.- Composición Varietal: Tempranillo 100% Fermented in stainless steel warehouses at controlled temperature, after skin maceration followed by a 24 months stand in a French oak barrel and subsequent stand of at least 36 months once bottled.

Excellent evolution at short and long term. Limited production to 15,000 bottles.

The wines produced are the result of 150 hectares of the winery's own vineyard, located in the best fields of the Alfaro region.

The winery is recognized by its affection for the region and by its traditional wine producing techniques thus its wines are exclusively made with native grape varieties of the Rioja region.

Its production reaches 600.000 bottles, of which 80% is assigned to domestic market and the remaining is exported to different countries such as Denmark, Belgium, Malta, Germany or Singapore among others.

The winery will be present at Alimentaria 2008 at the venue Gran Vía Pavilion 2, Stand F694 and will exhibit its new releases like Burgo Viejo Graciano Ecológico 2006 (single grape variety of limited production of 13.000 bottles which as it is indicated by its name, comes from vineyards cultivated in a natural manner, free from chemic substances) and Burgos Viejo Crianza 2004.
