Miguel Torres will present their newest wines and brandies at the Alimentaria 2008 fair.

Miguel Torres is a century old family business which has adapted to the latest wine making technology. Their modern production facilities are located near Pacs, 4 km form Vilafranca.

The Torres family history in the Penedes region goes back to the 17th century. It has been shown that even then, their ancestors owned vineyards and sold wine on a small scale.

This family tradition has been rigorously followed since the company was started in 1870.

The business has been handed down from one generation to the next. Currently it is in the hands of the fourth and fifth generations of the founders. The fourth generation is represented by the company president Migual A. Torres, vice-presidents Juan Maria Torres and Marimar Torres, and the fifth generation by Amad Torres Roséllo, Miréis Torres Maczassek and Miguel Torres Maczassek.

The company concentrated its efforts on the export from early on and now their wines are present in 140 countries.

Another of the family's main concerns has been maintaining and improving the company's image as a manufacturer of high quality wines which identify the Torres brand around the world.

Bodega Torres' mission is to maintain the centuries old tradition of the family business, with an international outlook, independent, self-financed and with the idea of making another friend of each new customer.
